Business worked together to provide equal opportunities

The number of socially responsible companies is growing. The Business for Society organisation has already connected more than 50 of them within the European Diversity Charter and more are joining. They are interested not only in the concept of diversity but they are also looking for a way to motivate their employees positively. Companies have started to support equal opportunities in the attitude to parental leave and the subsequent return to work. They have opened up the issue of equal pay for equal work, discrimination in job recruitment or female representation in business management. Inspired by good practice examples from abroad, some companies have introduced a system of voluntary commitments. In the Moravian-Silesian Region, the National Cluster Association studied how the issue of equality is reflected in the documents of IT firms and the automotive industry, and also helped to integrate the issue of equality into their internal documents.
